Heading to Brainerd

Today Linzy and I are heading to a cabin in Brainerd, MN for the rest of the week. We'll be spending the days lounging around, perhaps doing some swimming and biking, and visiting the area. Hopefully we won't be spending too much time trying to stay warm or avoiding the rain. Then on Friday a bunch of friends are coming up to spend the weekend with us. It should be a blast, I'm really looking forward to it.

The bad news for you is, that you don't see 'Keeping the blog up-to-date' in that list of planned activities. I doubt we'll have Internet access, so there probably won't be any new posts until next week.

I spent a couple of days in Brainerd/Baxter last fall for the MnGCA Fall Event. I had gone up to Gull Lake Recreation Area in the summer with Kim and checked the place out. I went back up later (before the event) and spent a couple days in the Brainerd area for the event.

It was cold in October (30s at night!) but we still enjoyed the fall colors and the warm days on the weekend.

Enjoy your time up there, I love it!

We're staying at the Gull 4 Seasons Resort, and it is pretty nice. It's like any resort, it hasn't been updated in a while, but the condo is really spacious.

The weather has been great and getting warmer each day.

Today we're headed up to Nevis, MN to visit Dan's parent's cabin.
