I stumbled upon Esquire's story on Roger Ebert and was fascinated tonight. I didn't realize that he had a bunch of surgeries for cancer in his throat and lost his lower jaw, can't speak or eat:
It has been nearly four years since Roger Ebert lost his lower jaw and his ability to speak. Now television's most famous movie critic is rarely seen and never heard, but his words have never stopped.
It was a pretty interesting article.
I still remember when I got a VCR player when I was a kid. It came with a copy of a jumbo book of Roger Ebert movie review. I disagreed with many of them, of course, but it was still fun to read through and see what his explanation of the ratings was.
